Sean Husband

Having worked as a senior commercial manager at Lloyd’s Bank for 21 years, it became apparent to Sean that countless businesses were struggling because they couldn’t manage their cash flow. With a desire to provide greater support to these businesses, Sean began My Debt Recovery in August 2009.

Dealing with debtors can be very stressful for clients, not to mention the time it can take to recover the debt. With that in mind, Sean wanted to build a business that would take the stress away from business owners and allow them to refocus their attention back on what they do best, growing their business.

Sean also recognised that the perception of debt collection agencies wasn’t positive and therefore, wanted to create a company that was professional and could adapt to the needs of each client and the type of debt.

Helen Macdonald

Helen began her career with one of the Big Four accounting firms and worked her way up the ranks during the 11 years she was with the firm. She then spent the next 19 years working for another well-known firm where again, she climbed the ranks until she became a senior administrator for their insolvency department.

Having worked for large corporate firms for a combined total of 30 years, Helen decided that she wanted a change. Wanting to work for a smaller firm where she could make a difference for clients, Helen joined the My Invoice team.

Helen’s experience of working within insolvency departments, provided her with a working knowledge of debt collection and she wanted to develop this further. As collections account manager, Helen is responsible for debt collections, along with the administration for the business.
